Inception and rise of Chaitanya
Sri Chaitanya started its historic journey in 1986 with the inception of a Girls Junior College at Vijayawada. Since then there has been no turning back.
The inception of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions was the result of a vision rather than the mere setting up of an institution. Our founders and mentors, Dr B. S. Rao garu and Dr Jhansi Lakshmi Bai garu, were hugely successful in the medical profession and decided to look at a fresh approach to Intermediate-level education.
A systematised methodology was introduced that changed the very face of education in Andhra Pradesh, for the better. A fresh chapter in the pre-university stream of education in the state began with a more professional approach to teaching and staff management.
The growth of Sri Chaitanya after 1986 has been phenomenal, and is now part of folklore — from a single college in Vijayawada to campuses across the country.

To elevate careers from the mediocre to the professional.
It is a time when the mind and the soul need to come together to fight against circumstances — a fusion of sound knowledge and sound spirit. A sound spirit is inherent to an Indian, but sound knowledge is gained better at the national level than the state level. Knowledge gained under sagacious professors, not merely qualified ones, is what stands the test of time. That superior knowledge is found in institutions offering professional education at the national level, across every field.
Sri Chaitanya makes students' lives better by integrating preparatory coaching with the regular board syllabus. Sri Chaitanya Junior Colleges offer proprietary test-prep courses — ICON, NEON, MEDICON, LEO, iCAP and the IAS Academy. Students are prepared for the best institutions in the country: IIT, AFMC, NIT and AIIMS in engineering and medicine, and CA / ICWAI / CS in accountancy.
Sri Chaitanya has also introduced a six-year programme preparing students for the Indian Civil Services — Prelims (CSAT), Mains and the Interview or Personality Test — so they can enter the IAS, IPS or IFS early and reach top positions in public service.
We observed that students from rural areas often lack access to professional education, either through a lack of awareness or a lack of resources. Sri Chaitanya has taken the initiative to improve the careers and lives of underprivileged pupils by offering top-quality education at a minimum fee. We want to see those students reach high positions in their professional careers, because they are capable and they deserve it.
It is therefore essential that students aspire to and focus on professional education where it is offered with proper infrastructure — physical and intellectual. The years invested in learning and gaining knowledge cannot be recovered, so they must be invested wisely. Parents need to be aware of the facts so that their children can be given proper guidance; without it, careers stay grounded instead of flying high.
Where fragile knowledge can wreck an individual's career and life, true knowledge strengthens character manifold. True character brings out our best quality to fight the worst adversity. The choice you make ought to be based on far-sightedness, not myopic vision. We wish you every success in the career of your choice.
